The Banquet Captain will work with the Food and Beverage Manager to provide an exemplary guest experience for our group event and ensure their expectations are exceeded.
- Train team members in proper serving techniques to ensure guests have an excellent culinary experience during the event.
- Prior to an event review all aspects of the BEO with members of the team and set expectations.
- Work cross-functionally with the sales and catering teams on event planning and assist with ordering food and supplies.
- Ensure set-up is complete and the event starts as scheduled.
- Assist Food and Beverage Manager with inventory as scheduled to minimize waste and ensure supplies are on-hand.
- Create a positive and motivating work environment.
- Accurately and timely, close out event billings, and submit with back-up to accounting no later than the next business day. If there is an issue, report immediately to the Food and Beverage Manager.
- Ability to take a proactive approach to problems when dealing with guest concerns
- Work with Food and Beverage Manager to coordinate training consistent with the Department of Health guidelines.
- Support other areas of the F&B Team, when there is not an event, including working in the Club Lounge as an Attendant, assisting with the Pool Bar, and other related duties as assigned.

- Must have a flexible schedule, 100% open availability including evenings shifts and weekends
- Experience in leading in working as a banquet team lead including working with sales and catering team members, is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
