What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Server/Bartender position at Inn on Fifth, a Noble House Hotel?
The Inn on Fifth, a beautiful boutique hotel in downtown Naples, FL, is looking to grow it's Banquet Server Team. This On-Call opportunity, will support our Food and Beverage Team working evening and weekend events. This position offers an hourly rate of pay of $14.00 per hour, in addition to percentage of the service charge, based on the event and hours worked.
Job Summary:
In the role, the Banquet Server is there to provide the Inn on Fifth guests exemplary service during scheduled events. They will work under the direct leadership of the Food and Beverage Manager to execute delivering and serving food and beverage items to guests, consistent with our core value Happy to Help.
Essential Functions:
- Set up/breakdown banquet meeting space per Banquet Event Order instructions, including tables, table complements (salt, pepper, sugar, breadsticks, etc.), table linens, table settings, center pieces, dishes, audio-visual equipment, and all other event provisions
- Crafting and creating cocktails
- Assisting with monitoring beverage inventory
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of banquet spaces
- Maintain communication with the guest contact person for guest needs and provide excellent customer service to all guests
- Serve all food and beverages to guests per company standards
- Greet and take food and drink orders from guests, serving the orders and accommodating special needs/requests
- Adheres to all grooming and attire policies of Noble House Hotels and Resorts as outlined in the Policy.
- Ensure great menu knowledge
- Greet all guests by name, if possible
- Handle guest opportunities on first impact and ensure that all guests have an experience up to Noble House Hotels standards
- Complete side work including cleaning, stocking, and folding silverware
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience:
- Minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
- Previous experience in a similar position in a hospitality environment a plus
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding
- Maintain a work environment that is clean and presents a professional image.
- Attend and participate in-service training as required by federal, state, and company requirements
- Report any safety and maintenance issues to the Food and Beverage Manager
Physical Demands:
- Ability to work long hours as needed
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to squat and bend
- Ability to work in hot and humid conditions
Mental Demands:
- Ability to focus on the attention to detail and complete assigned tasks consistent with management directives
- Able to work independently and follow directives from leadership
