We are looking for an Experienced Banquet Chef to join our Team! As Banquet Chef, you will be tasked with ensuring the success of any large-scale dining event, be it a wedding, corporate gathering, or a social celebration. Your primary role is to meticulously plan, prepare, and execute high-quality meals that delight guests and adhere to the highest culinary standards. As a Banquet Chef, you'll collaborate closely with event planners, kitchen staff, and management to create exceptional dining experiences that leave a lasting impression. Banquet Chef Responsibilities & Duties
· Plan, coordinate, and execute banquet menus for various events.
· Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and consistency.
· Manage kitchen staff during banquet events, including scheduling and delegating tasks.
· Collaborate with event planners and clients to customize menus according to specific needs and preferences.
· Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
· Order and maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies.
· Develop and test new recipes and menu items for banquet events.
· Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment for cleanliness and maintenance.
· Train and mentor junior kitchen staff and interns.
· Monitor food cost and implement measures to control waste.
Banquet Chef Qualifications & Skills
· Experience in banquet or high-volume food production environments – previous experience in hotel/hospitality is highly preferred.
· Advanced culinary training or certification.
· Understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
· Leadership and team management skills.
· Organizational and time management abilities.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
· Creativity in menu design and food presentation.
· Proficiency with kitchen management software and inventory systems.
· Communication skills when dealing with staff and clients.
· Degree in Culinary Arts or a related field.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
· Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
· Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for long periods.
· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
· Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality cuisine.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Valid food handler’s certification.
· Additional hospitality or event management training is a plus
· We recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service. We will on occasion call on you to perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional service at our other locations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $65,000.00 per year
