Job Summary:
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of guest rooms, common areas, and event spaces at Inn on the Creek. This role ensures a welcoming and comfortable environment for guests by following established cleaning procedures and providing high-quality service. Additional responsibilities include assisting with breakfast service, laundry duties, and event setup.
Responsibilities:
Breakfast Service & Cleaning Duties:
- Set up and serve breakfast for guests in a timely and professional manner.
- Complete cleaning and resetting tasks in the breakfast service area.
- Wash and properly store all tableware and kitchenware after breakfast service.
- Bag and haul trash to the designated dumpsters.
- Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
Housekeeping Duties:
- Clean guest rooms and replace consumables according to Inn on the Creek standards.
- Ensure rooms are refreshed and ready for new guests, including making beds, restocking amenities, and general tidying.
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas, hallways, and shared guest spaces.
- Handle and dispose of waste properly, ensuring all areas remain neat and sanitary.
Laundry & Linen Maintenance:
- Transport dirty laundry to the laundry area for cleaning.
- Load, run, and unload washing machines and dryers.
- Fold, hang, and store laundry according to property standards.
- Ensure fresh linens and towels are readily available for guest use.
Property & Event Support:
- Assist in setting up event spaces, including moving tables, chairs, and décor as needed.
- Perform cleaning duties across Inn on the Creek properties, ensuring consistency in cleanliness and guest experience.
- Follow standard operating procedures to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in all areas.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or supply shortages to the supervisor immediately.
Teamwork & Guest Service:
- Maintain a professional and “team-oriented” attitude while interacting with guests, team members, and management.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure seamless operations.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to provide a clean and healthy environment for guests and staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous housekeeping, hotel, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning procedures.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, as needed
