Kitchen Supervisor

Job Summary
The Kitchen Supervisor plays a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that food preparation and production meet high standards of quality and efficiency. This position requires strong leadership skills to manage kitchen staff, maintain inventory control, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service management and the ability to create a positive working environment.

Duties

• Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support in food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all food production meets quality standards.
• Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
• Coordinate banquet and special event preparations, ensuring timely service and presentation.
• Implement and enforce food safety and sanitation practices in accordance with health regulations.
• Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and cost control measures.
• Train new staff members on kitchen procedures, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations during meal service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a cook or in a similar kitchen management role.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Experience in food production and inventory control is preferred.
• Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
• Familiarity with banquet service and food service management principles.
• Bartending experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
