Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising dogs and cats.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and other animal housing facilities.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management.
- Assist with animal restraint during examinations or treatments as needed.
- Support pet grooming activities as required, ensuring pets are clean and comfortable.
- Interact with pet owners in a friendly and professional manner, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Help maintain inventory of supplies needed for animal care and facility maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and sanitation standards within the facility.
Experience
- Previous experience in animal care or handling is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Customer service experience is highly valued to ensure positive interactions with pet owners.
- Familiarity with veterinary practices, pet sitting, dog handling, or grooming is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently.
- Strong communication skills to interact with both animals and their owners effectively.
