Accounting Manager
Job Summary :
The Accounting Manager will work directly under the CFO to plan and direct the accounting activities of the company and the department.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
- Along with the CFO, manage the 10-person accounting staff who are responsible for accounts payable, billing, collections, and payroll.
- Recruits and hires accounting and financial staff and conducts performance evaluations.
- Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.
- Assist the management of the day-to-day operations of AP, AR, and Payroll.
Duties / Responsibilities :
Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.Oversees and prepares monthly financials, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.Oversees the production of monthly financial statements and profit & loss by branch; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.Assist in customer collections if needed.Understanding and help maintain payroll compliance by state throughout the U.S., working directly with our outsourced ADP relationshipPerforms other related duties as necessary or assigned.Required Skills / Abilities :

Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.Five years or more of related experience preferredCertified Public Accountant designation preferred or working towards obtaining.Physical / Mental Requirements :
Ability to operate general office equipment.Ability to effectively communicate using verbal and written skills.Ability to make sound decisions.Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working with office equipment.Compensation commensurate with experience.
