Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join our dedicated team. The QMHP will provide essential mental health support and services to individuals with various needs, including those experiencing PTSD, developmental disabilities, and geriatric concerns. This role involves direct support, crisis management, and the implementation of therapeutic interventions to enhance the well-being of clients.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct support and counseling to clients dealing with mental health issues, including PTSD and developmental disabilities.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs.
- Provide crisis management services to clients in acute distress.
- Facilitate therapeutic sessions incorporating techniques such as art therapy.
- Address gender issues in counseling sessions to promote inclusivity and understanding.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with ICD-10 and ICD-9 standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients in inpatient settings.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health care.
Requirements
- A valid QMHP certification or equivalent qualification in mental health care.
- Experience working with individuals with PTSD, developmental disabilities, or geriatric populations is preferred.
- Proficiency in crisis management techniques and therapeutic interventions.
- Familiarity with ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems for accurate documentation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse client populations.
- A commitment to providing compassionate care while respecting client confidentiality and dignity.
