The Clinical Director role offers a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive psychiatric, medical, and case management services to homeless and at-risk of homelessness individuals with mental illness and substance use disorder. This role involves the rewarding responsibility of coordinating and delivering services to clients, working closely with the program staff to provide on-site services, coordinating service delivery, ensuring staff adherence to policies and procedures, and conducting regular quality assurance reviews. This leadership is essential for maintaining the high standards of our services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential duties of the Clinical Director include, but are not limited to, the following activities:
• Provide guidance and direction to the program staff to ensure assessments, including psycho social evaluations, are performed, Independent Living Plans are prepared and followed, referrals to appropriate programs are made, and services are integrated.
• Conduct chart reviews to ensure all required documents have been given to and acknowledged by the clients and to coordinate the delivery of services to them.
• Assists in the training, development, and supervision of all staff assigned to the social services team. • Shares 24-hour administrative oversight of the program in conjunction with the Leadership Team.
• Provides leadership during crises/trains staff in protocols for clinical emergencies.
• One of the clinical director's key responsibilities is maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical documents. This task is vital in providing the best possible care to our clients and ensuring that the case managers input required data in a timely fashion into the data system(s).
• Attends and participates in weekly Case Conference meetings on the status of each client. • Collaborates with the Leadership Team and other senior staff to develop and implement protocols. • Excellent communication, mentoring skills, and leadership skills.
• Aptitude for resolving administrative issues and conflicts. • Performs other duties as assigned by the CPO. Qualifications • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
• State Medicaid experience
• A minimum of five years of experience working with homeless mentally ill adults or other special needs populations.
• Proven supervisory skills, including at least three years of clinical/administrative supervisory experience, preferably in a shelter setting
• Knowledge of case management software programs and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Schedule: Full-Time • 8-hour shift • Evening shift • Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
Salary-Exempt Starting Salary $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year, depending on experience.
