Purpose:
The Merchandiser is responsible for maintaining merchandising standards (clean, neat, fully-stocked) and coordinating with sales team while maintaining positive and cooperative customer relationships.
Essential Functions and Skills:
- Merchandising assigned products and promotional materials for display in a manner that attracts sales
- Comply with customer operating procedures (i.e. name-badge, log in / out, designated service times)
- Provide support for Sales staff and Delivery Staff
- Assist in planogram resets, both in cooler and warm shelf locations to enhance sales
- Maintain quality/quantity of products by rotating products; checking code dates for freshness; replenishing product with back stock
- Maintain fixture cleanliness to enhance sales
- Ensure designated backroom storage areas are clean, organized, and rotation standards are met
- Inspect and recommend repairs to coolers to Supervisor, as needed
- Create and/or maintain proper signage and pricing for product
- Communicate with supervisor or sales staff any product or point-of-sale or merchandising needs, issues, or discrepancies
- Verify accuracy of load deliveries by visually matching pallet labels with store location per customer
- Ensure proper refund and return procedures are followed
- Remove all wrap/boxes following customer procedures for disposal
- Follow store specific receiving procedures and reconciliation processes
- Travel throughout assigned territory to/from customer locations
- Maintain cooperative working relationship with customers, community, and other persons within the Company
- Manage timelines to ensure completion of assigned customer displays while responding to fluctuations in workload to deliver quality customer service
- Deliver exceptional customer service at all times by communicating with store management; personnel, as well as the general public
- Adhere to customer policies and procedures in compliance with workplace, health, and safety standards.

- Demonstrate effective time management strategies
- Notify supervisor of any repairs needed in a timely manner

- Use sound judgment and seek guidance and direction as necessary from supervisor

Education:
High School Diploma, GED, or High School Equivalence Certificate preferred but not required.
Experience:
6 months of retail workplace environment preferred.
Other Requirements:
Must pass background check and motor vehicle checks, as required.
Must have proper authorization to work in the United States.
Must maintain a current Drivers License and clean Motor Vehicle Review.
Physical Requirements/Workplace Conditions:
This position requires frequent driving in all road conditions, bending and twisting the body, keeping or regaining balance, kneeling, crouching, stooping, or crawling and repetitive motions. This position also requires frequent time walking or standing, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. This position requires frequent lifting, pushing or pulling up to 60 lbs repetitively and to use equipment to move heavier items (palletized merchandise). The position requires basic skills such as full vision capabilities, the ability to actively listen/hear, read/comprehend, communicate orally and reason or analyze on a constant basis and to perform calculations frequently.
This position also requires social skills such as, coordination efforts, team efforts, perceptiveness to others, using sound judgment, and willingness to help others. Work is performed in multiple locations where indoor and outdoor environmental conditions will vary.
Work may also be performed using technology, manual and powered equipment (carts, pallet jacks, etc.).
