CNC Machine Operator

A CNC Operator will be responsible for operating machines according to correct programs and ensuring the daily schedule of the department is maintained. They will take ownership of their work area by keeping it clean and organized, while also performing all assigned tasks diligently and efficiently.

Duties, Tasks And Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc
• Read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and other specifications for quality parts
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
• Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts
• Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
• Be able to read a system generated schedule to drive on time delivery
• Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
• Maintain a clean organized work area
• Do operator PMs as determined by the company
  
  

Critical Skills & Knowledge

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
• An understanding of computer operated machinery
• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
• A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
• Good communication abilities
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC operator is a plus
• Previous experience working in manufacturing is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Safety shoes required
  
  

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift or move up to 65 lbs
• Able to spend long hours on a factory shop floor
  
  

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
