What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packaging Assembly - Shipping position at InnerSpace?
Position Summary
This position will be primarily responsible for packing our product onto pallets. Assembling cardboard or 2x4 barriers, strapping and shrink-wrapping to secure our product on the pallet. Using the forklift to organize the finished product by order and shipping date in our shipping area to create an efficient flow for loading trucks at the end of each day.
Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
- Accurately pick items from inventory using our shipping schedule daily.
- Select appropriate shipping containers for each shipment.
- Perform packaging & shipping functions independently using the tools provided. (table saw, nail gun, box cutter, etc...)
- Follow customer specific shipping instructions.
- Pack items neatly and ensure safe delivery.
- Keep a clean and safe work environment.
- Meet daily goals to get orders shipped on time.
- Using the forklift to move our product to each station in shipping.
- Complete all tasks with a high level of quality and accuracy.
- Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand and walk quickly for entire shift.
- Lifting to 50-75lbs. Able to push fully assembled carts and cabinets onto pallets.
