Revolution Power Solutions is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of electrical systems for our power generation and oilfield equipment. This role will focus on electrical component and system design, including one-line diagrams, load lists, BOM creation, testing procedures, and system troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineering, supply chain, quality, and manufacturing teams to deliver cost-effective, reliable, and innovative solutions.

About The Role
Revolution Power Solutions is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of electrical systems for our power generation and oilfield equipment. This role will focus on electrical component and system design, including one-line diagrams, load lists, BOM creation, testing procedures, and system troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineering, supply chain, quality, and manufacturing teams to deliver cost-effective, reliable, and innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review, update, and approve electrical design drawings and BOMs while ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
- Design and optimize medium voltage electrical systems, DC power systems (PV and battery storage), and control systems.
- Create one-line diagrams, panel load calculations, and electrical schematics in AutoCAD 2D.
- Troubleshoot and design 4-20mA current loop control systems and PLC-based control systems.
- Work with Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, CAN bus, and RS485 communication protocols for system integration.
- Design and select UL-approved electrical components for control enclosures and electrical systems.
- Define electrical and controls requirements as part of system specifications and overall equipment design.
- Support manufacturing and service teams by troubleshooting field issues and optimizing assembly methods.
- Perform arc flash assessments and ensure LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) compliance in accordance with NEC, IEC, and IEEE standards.
- Evaluate and implement IoT, networking, and cloud-based solutions for electrical system monitoring and diagnostics.
- Conduct research, perform diagnostics, and develop prototypes for new products and system enhancements.
- Develop cost estimates, schedules, and engineering project hours to support planning and execution.
- Establish relationships with vendors, suppliers, and customers to ensure project success.
- Continuously improve engineering processes and workflows for efficiency and innovation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- 3-5 years of experience in OEM equipment manufacturing and electrical system design.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a root cause analysis approach.
- Experience with AutoCAD 2D for creating electrical schematics and design documentation.
- Familiarity with NEC, IEC, IEEE, and industry standards for electrical design, arc flash, and LOTO.
- Knowledge of panel load calculations, conductor sizing, cable design, and connector selection.
- Experience with IoT, networking, and cloud-based control system solutions is a plus.
- Ability to support field service teams by troubleshooting technical issues.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Primarily office-based, with time spent in the manufacturing plant, test line, and electronics lab.
- Exposure to industrial equipment, electrical panels, and production environments.
- Requires attention to safety standards and compliance with electrical regulations.
