ABOUT THE ROLE
The Platform Management team performs critical functions to ensure timely and successfully onboarding of new client and new funds onto Innocap’s dedicated managed account platforms (“DMAs”). The team’s core responsibilities are to project manage the onboarding process coordinating with many stakeholders, process counterparty agreements and account opening documentation, and act as a key contact for clients, including post-launch and throughout the life cycle of the fund. Team members may also support other functions and are expected to actively participate in the development, testing and review of Innocap’s proprietary tools. The role also involves learning and understanding the inner-workings of key hedge fund-related functions including hedge fund strategies, fund accounting, prime brokerage, fund operations and middle office, operational and investment due diligence, legal structuring and documentation and investment risks oversight and reporting.
The Senior Associate, Platform Management is responsible for the following functions:
- Coordinate the activities of all relevant stakeholders (Innocap team members, service providers, investment managers, and counterparties) to ensure timely onboarding task completion.
- Obtain all required documentation and maintain detailed records in internal systems. Monitor onboarding tasks against timelines and ensure completion.
- Complete and coordinate any account opening documentation, KYC requests, and other onboarding related tasks associated with counterparty and other service provider onboardings.
- Support senior members of the team, communicate onboarding status and progress and escalate issues when necessary.
- Establish and foster positive working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, including clients and service providers.
- Effectively manage high email volume and promptly respond to queries from clients, service providers, investment managers, and counterparties.
- Collaborate on process improvement and perform other activities as assigned.
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Experience in similar functions, namely with providing client service and project management. Paralegal experience is an asset.
- Desired seniority level: associate (minimum 3 years of experience).
- Experience mobilizing efforts of various stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
- KYC knowledge is an asset.
- Knowledge of financial products and facets of fund onboarding is an asset.
- Detail-orientated and resourceful with proven ability to stay organized and manage work in a timely manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Possess a proactive, collaborative, and adaptable approach to work.
