INNOCEAN USA , a full-service advertising agency located in Huntington Beach, CA, is looking for an Assistant Media Planner to join our General Accounts team.
The Assistant Media Planner for General Accounts (Wienerschnitzel) reports into the Media Director and works closely with the Media Supervisor on the day-to-day efforts across media planning, implementation, and campaign stewardship. This candidate will work on both digital and traditional channels from a strategy, planning, execution, and measurement standpoint. The Assistant Media Planner works closely with several groups including internal account and media teams, and external media vendors.
The ideal candidate is passionate about learning all things media, is a team player, and enjoys a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be detail-oriented, effectively prioritize tasks, and demonstrate strong organizational skills to maintain workflow. The ability to rapidly learn and implement new processes while being open to feedback is essential for professional growth.
Key Role Responsibilities
- Work with the team to develop and execute integrated media strategies and plans that deliver on the client’s objectives and goals. These include :
- Target research, strategic flighting, channel mixes, budget allocations, and partner selection.
- Both digital and traditional media channels (e.g., outdoor, print, digital video, display, programmatic, paid social, paid search, etc.).
- Responsible for implementing media and ongoing campaign stewardship including IOs, trafficking, pacing, QA’ing, reporting, billing, budget tracking, etc.
- Keep both internal and external status documents up-to-date and drive status calls with media partners and the team.
- Work with the planning team on New Business efforts as needed.
- Use effective time management and project management skills to ensure deadlines are met with quality work across all accounts.
- Adapt and keep up with a fast-paced environment; the planning team has several roles including strategy, planning, execution, and measurement.
Requirements
Education : B.S. / B.A. required - preferably in Marketing / Communications.
Experience
Entry-level experience in media planning and buying in both traditional and digital is a plus but not necessary.
