Supervisor, Finance & Accounting
INNOCEAN USA, a full-service advertising agency located in Huntington Beach, CA is looking for a Supervisor to join our Finance team!
We are a hybrid workplace, x2 days week in-office.
The Accounting & Finance Department partners closely with all internal departments to provide accurate financial analysis, budgeting, AR/AP, and overall ad-hoc support. They also manage PO/estimate and develop/continuously improve work-flow processes. The team fosters a collaborative environment with a strong focus on engagement and development.
The Supervisor is primarily responsible for managing client billing for creative and may also include production. Specifics include client billing, AR/AP reconciliation, review weekly expense reports, compile reporting (inter-department, client, and accounting), updating client media marketing documents and assist with month-end closing. Additional responsibilities may include ERP software management including reporting, coding, and mapping of accounts as necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process monthly billing transactions and reconcile against budgets & ATB’s
- Review and process expense reports on a weekly basis
- Input media vendor invoices and reconcile against media buy’s on a daily basis
- Collaborate with vendors regularly regarding any invoice discrepancies
- Work closely with media clients for timely billing and accrual reconciliation
- Prepare internal and client accruals on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
- Follow up with client on a regular basis to maintain healthy Aged AR balance
- Review & process weekly mass payment batches to vendors
- Prepare monthly reports for internal departments and clients
- Supervise staff on team, assisting with daily tasks and reviewing deliverables
- Evaluate internal processes and provide insight for process efficiency as needed
DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of experience in Accounting & Finance/working in a similar role
- Knowledge of media or production industry preferred
- Exceptional computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel & Power Query)
- Bachelor's Degree required, Finance or Accounting Degree preferred
- Ability to work overtime, especially at month-end
- Strong knowledge of billing and accounting concepts
- Strong analytical skills, detail oriented
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
- Capable of making timely, independent decisions
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Ability to work well in an environment with firm deadlines; results oriented
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Reports to: Manager, Finance
Salary range: $76,000 - $80,000
Pay is dependent upon several factors including but not limited to: years of experience, training, and transferable skills.
