We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Avionics Technician, responsible for inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing avionics systems and components on a variety of aircraft electrical and electronic components. This position will need to successfully complete all necessary training before being promoted to Lead Technician. Upon completion, compensation will be reevaluated to align with the new responsibilities and title.

Innodyne Systems, an FCAH Aerospace brand, is a FAA/EASA/UK certificated repair facility, servicing a wide range of aircraft airframe components used in business and regional aircraft.

What you will be doing…

  • Inspect, test, and repair a variety of aircraft electrical and electronic components, including cockpit control panels, junction boxes, and wiring harnesses.
  • Apply a strong understanding of electronics theory, testing procedures, schematic diagrams, and maintenance manuals to efficiently troubleshoot component defects.
  • Manage the daily operations of the electrical lab, including financial oversight, work scheduling, assembling customer quotations, and serving as the department’s customer service representative.
  • Complete all required maintenance logs, reports, and records accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare work orders and sign-off on completed work.
  • Assist in developing new capabilities for the department.
  • Other Duties: Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by management, adapting to changing priorities and requirements.

What we are looking for…

You will need to have:

  • Certificate or degree in electronics or
  • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification with avionics depot-level experience and NCAAT avionics certification or
  • Equivalent military experience.
  • Proficiency in using basic electronic repair tools relevant to the responsibilities listed above.
  • Ability to read and interpret precision measuring tools and instruments.
  • Ability to read precision measuring tools and instruments.
  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations, their interpretation, and application.
  • Intermediate level computer skills including basic use of MS Outlook (or other e-mail application), Word, and Excel preferred.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard test equipment, repair tooling, and soldering techniques.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Associates degree in aviation maintenance, avionics, or related field.
  • Prior experience working for a Part 145 Repair Station.
