Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for manufacturing, inventory, supply chain, and financial analysis.
- Use Preferred Strategies QuickLaunch to streamline data access and reporting from JD Edwards (JDE) ERP tables.
- Perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) on JDE ERP data to provide real-time insights into production, inventory, procurement, and cost management.
- Design data models and analytics solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency, demand forecasting, and cost control.
- Write DAX queries and calculations for advanced data analysis and business intelligence insights.
- Collaborate with production, supply chain, finance, and IT teams to document business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Work with an agile approach to develop technical design documents, prototypes, and engage IT and users in validating solutions.
- Monitor and maintain data loads and other scheduled tasks for deployed apps.
- Have a solid understanding of Cloud architecture (Azure) and MS technologies.
- Analyze and interpret JD Edwards table structures, including modules like Manufacturing (JDE MRP), Inventory (JDE F4101/F4111), Procurement, and Finance.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across all reports.
- Implement role-based access controls (RBAC) and Power BI Service best practices for report distribution.
- Optimize dashboard performance and automate reporting for real-time decision-making.
- Stay current with the latest trends in Power BI, JD Edwards, and manufacturing analytics to improve reporting capabilities.
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Service.
- Strong understanding of JD Edwards (JDE) ERP table structures, including manufacturing, inventory, procurement, and financial modules (a plus).
- Experience with Preferred Strategies QuickLaunch for JD Edwards reporting and data extraction.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and extracting data from JD Edwards and other relational databases.
- Expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing, especially in manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of manufacturing KPIs like OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), downtime, production yield, and inventory turnover.
- Experience integrating Power BI with ERP, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), IoT data, and other enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure (Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory) for cloud-based BI solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data visualization skills.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with operations, supply chain, and finance teams.
- Microsoft Power BI Certification (PL-300) is a plus.
- Experience with JD Edwards Orchestrator, JDE BI Publisher, or other ERP data extraction tools.
- Proficiency in Python or R for advanced manufacturing analytics.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Industry 4.0 principles.
- Experience with automation tools like Power Automate for optimizing workflows.
