What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Intern - Summer 2025 position at Innophos?
The Quality Assurance Intern will gain valuable industry experience while contributing to key projects aimed at improving quality assurance processes. This internship at the Innophos manufacturing site in North Salt Lake, UT will offer the opportunity to acquire hands-on skills in Quality Management Systems.
\n- Assist with daily operations
- Support the execution of standard QA procedures and protocols
- Aid in organizing and maintaining quality documentation, ensuring all records are up-to-date and compliant
- Participate in quality inspections on the floor and internal system audits, documenting findings and assisting in corrective action follow-ups
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives:
- Assist in various quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing QA operations and processes (i.e., Document Control System Upgrading)
- Support analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements
- Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of quality systems, including adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and relevant industry standards.
- Cross-Functional Support
- Assist and collaborate with the Quality Control (QC) teams as needed to support overall quality objectives and operational efficiency
- Completion of sophomore college year in Food Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field
- Fluent in English (verbal and written). Spanish is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office, specializing in Excel for data analysis, Word for documentation, and PowerPoint for presentations
- Strong attention to detail

- Clear and effective communication
- Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices including the proper wearing of clean protective clothing, following personal hygiene standards, and adherence to food/drink/tobacco restrictions
- Intern: 8-12 weeks
- Co-op: 1 semesters
