What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Lab Technician position at Innophos?
Innophos is recruiting for a Quality Control Laboratory Technician at our Nashville, Tennessee chemical plant. The Lab Tech position is responsible for performing all raw material, in-process, and finished product testing for products produced at the Nashville plant.
\n- Performing daily calibration checks
- Running references
- Entering data into log books, LIMS software programs
- Prepare and release CoA's for bulk shipments
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, preferably chemistry
- Prior QC experience preferred
- Ability to comprehend and accurately perform analytical methods
- Possess a fundamental understanding of mathematics and understand the nature of analytical calculations
- Must be computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and LIMS software
- Safely handle corrosive and toxic chemicals
- Safely work alone when necessary
- Complete assignments in a timely fashion
- Maintain a clean work area
- Visually make color comparisons and identify the presence of foreign materials
- Interact professionally with supervisors/production employees in busy lab environment
- Use good documentation skills/organizational skills to record lab results
- Must have a good attendance record
- Must be able to work rotating shift schedule, weekends, holidays, and vacation relief
- Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices including the proper wearing of clean protective clothing, following personal hygiene standards, and adherence to food/drink/tobacco restrictions
