What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Planner position at Innophos?
Innophos is hiring a Supply Planner to join our team at our Cranbury, NJ location. The Supply Planner is responsible for developing the master production plan to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory. The qualified individual will be responsible for providing the plant with weekly and monthly production plans consistent with the plant capacity and consensus demand plan. The planner is responsible for managing inventory for finished goods down to the pack size including cycle stock and safety stock levels in alignment with Innophos business objective.
Strong collaboration with the Business Managers, Operations, Sales, Customer Service
and Management will be critical to meeting business goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Create a rolling 18-24 month master production plan. Efficiently utilize production capacity, taking into consideration the consensus demand plan, manufacturing and laboratory constraints, and potential business opportunities and vulnerabilities.
- Proactively identify and analyze risks to the supply plan and develop options to mitigate
- Facilitate Supply Review process/meeting on a monthly basis
- Maintain view of supply/demand balance and projected inventories
- -Evaluate potential supply gaps
- - Develop options to meet unconstrained consensus demand plan
- - Track and report KPI's, examples include inventory levels vs. target, non-saleable inventory, performance to plan
- Participate in S&OP meetings, representing supply team for resolution of demand/supply imbalances
- Communicate supply requirements and develop detailed production schedule in cooperation with the plant coordinators. Measure and track performance to plan. When supply or demand exceptions occur, serve as focal point for work order prioritization.
- Coordinate order fulfilment activities with the plant coordinators
- Communicate product availability issues to customer service
- Project finished goods inventory levels on a monthly basis. Achieve desired corporate inventory turn levels and target service levels.
- B.S. is required, preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics or Operation Research
- 3 or more years of experience in master scheduling and inventory control
- Experience in managing manufacturing processes, productivity, and efficiency measurements
- Experience using MRP / ERP systems, especially Advanced Planning Systems
- APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred
- Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing planning, demand, and replenishment processes
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to reason and influence at all levels
- Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities
