Description:
Typical Experience: 84 months
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Troubleshooting cloud infrastructure issues related to networking and security.
Building highly scalable and highly available solutions deployed on public clouds (such as AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform), and/or hybrid environments.
Assistance in working with other DIT teams, which includes the network and security teams, for cloud on-boarding and migrations.
Assist the operational team as needed and requested.
Perform root cause analysis and post implementation reviews.
Assist the cloud team to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
Schedules and coordinates the installation and configuration of cloud network infrastructure solutions with customers and other internal DIT teams.
Maintain and keep track of all technical duties that are related to cloud networking such as design, planning, management, maintenance, and support.
Manage, monitor, troubleshoot and resolve network performance issues: utilization/throughput, slowness, and unexpected latency.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities / Competencies:
Extensive hands-on experience with Palo Alto VM Series firewall and Panorama configuration and optimization
Experience with VPN technologies to include IPsec and SSL technologies.
Ability to work on large TCP/IP networks, design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Experience with name services and resolution, associated IP assignments.
Experience with routers, routing protocols, transit gateways, load balancing, and overall cloud networking, including VPCs, subnets, routes, security groups, endpoints, CIDR assignments.
Experience with security best practices and implementing security controls in an AWS cloud environment.
Possess strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud networking infrastructure issues.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate cloud standards and security best practices to technical and non-technical audiences.
Self-motivated with a strong team-oriented and collaborative attitude.
Strong knowledge and understanding of cloud infrastructure components such as compute, storage, network management, and monitoring (network and security).
Knowledge of WAF as a Service (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
