What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Director - design & construction of wastewater / water treatment systems position at InnoTech Staffing?
InnoTECH Staffing is looking to hire an Engineering Director for a well funded, late stage, high growth waste to energy startup company in the Greater Boston / Southern New Hampshire area.
(This requires being onsite in the office and there is no sponsorship at this time)
1) Will grow & lead Project Engineering Team
2) Define and manage the company’s relationships with third-party engineering firms, design-build firms, and construction management firms with the goal of optimizing the cost and schedule of project delivery
3) Collaborate closely with the company’s process engineering team who will generate a basis-of-design and define the process flow
4) Coordinate with the development team, which includes landmen and on-site project managers, as well as the operations team who will commission the projects upon substantial completion
5) Must have experience in detailed engineering and construction of process plants is a prerequisite, with special emphasis on wastewater treatment facilities
6) Develop, document, and implement engineering standards, equipment specifications, and construction details
7) Oversee QA/QC of the Issued For Construction (IFC) document package
8) Analyze existing processes and facility designs
9) Provide engineering support to construction managers and/or design-build partners during construction.
10) Produce investment decision metrics for projects, such as CapEx and OpEx estimates
11) Maintain accurate records of project activities, technical data, and design/construction changes
Background should be more of a Senior Engineer vs Project Manager.
Should have 10-15 years experience in project design and engineering
Ability to read and interpret PIDs, PFDs, block flow diagrams and construction diagrams etc.
Familiar with CAD software
Excellent problem solving skills
Experience leading, managing and motivating a team of engineers
PE a plus
Will require some travel to sites
