Who We Are Looking For
As a Senior Controls Engineer, you'll collaborate with operations and engineering teams to design, program, and deploy cutting-edge automation solutions across various industries. You’ll take charge of the largest, most challenging projects, ensuring success at every step, while sharing your expertise to guide and develop junior team members.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and program custom automated systems for industrial manufacturing applications.
- Lead project development from proposals to execution, ensuring cost-effectiveness and reliability.
- Translate customer requirements into innovative automation solutions.
- Develop project requirements, design specifications, and detailed system designs.
- Program PLC logic, servo motion, and HMI interfaces (A-B).
- Design and test hardwired and digital safety circuits.
- Troubleshoot pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and electronic system interfaces.
- Enhance existing processes, optimize build costs, and drive continuous improvement.
- Mentor team members, sharing your technical knowledge and expertise.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and suggest architectural enhancements.
- Collaborate across departments to meet project goals and deliver exceptional results.
- Travel occasionally (10% or less within the US; rare international travel).
What You Bring
- 10 years of experience in automated controls systems for industrial manufacturing.
- Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD Electrical for control system designs.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with industrial machinery controls and electrical systems.
- Expertise in fieldbus architectures (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, ASCII) and programming Servo/VFD drives.
- Familiarity with robotic systems (ABB & Fanuc) and vision systems (Keyence, Cognex).
- Knowledge of international standards (IEC, ISO, NFPA, NEC, UL, CE).
- A proactive, professional, and collaborative mindset.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree 15 years of relevant experience, OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering 10 years of experience in robotics, controls, or engineering.
