Job Description:
We are seeking a friendly, compassionate, and organized Medical Assistant to join our busy dermatology office. In this role, you will room patients at our medical office, acquire the Chief Concern and History of Present Illness/Concern, then present the patient to the physician. You will enter in prescription medications as needed and send them to the patient's pharmacy via "ePrescribing" them on the iPad.
We perform many biopsies, excisions, surgeries, cosmetic procedures, and vein procedures in our office. You will assist in numbing patients, discussing pre-op and post-op care, and serving as first assistant during the surgical procedures.
Finally, you will instruct the patient to go to the front desk Checkout to schedule a return visit, if needed, at the time specified by the doctor. Any co-pays or deductible or "Out of Pocket" costs due at that time per the patient's insurance agreement will be due at checkout.
