A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Repair and Modification Technician.

Position Type : Full-Time Contract

Duration : 6 months

Location : Fairfield, CA

As a Repair and Modification Technician, you will :

  • Assembles, disassembles and / or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
  • Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
  • Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
  • Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
  • Performs validation / verification testing of systems and components.
  • Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
  • Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
  • Oversees training.

Required Skills :

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in repair, maintenance, and retrofit processes and practices
  • Ability to travel 15%-25% of the time both domestically and internationally.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in reading and interpreting technical publications and / or maintenance manuals.
  • Must be able to pass Ground Operations Personnel (GOP) and air respirator medical physicals and maintain qualification / certification.
  • Preferred qualifications (desired skills / experience) :

  • Minimum 3 years aircraft platform experience.
  • Ability to analyze baseline maintenance plan and develops a scheduled visit maintenance plan.
  • Ability to conduct maintenance debrief and records review and verify work performed and administers sell-off paperwork.
  • Ability to maintain and / or create metrics.
  • Capable of implementing corrective action to prevent or preclude quality issue occurrence.
  • Ability to perform a root cause analysis and resolves or elevates issue.
  • Ability to meet the Aircraft Fall Protection System weight requirements of
  • Ability to read, interprets and understand Aircraft blueprints and USAF Technical Orders.
  • Prefer multi-system operations, maintenance and repair experience including pneumatic, hydraulic, structural, electrical, and propulsion systems.

    Pay Range

  • Between $35 to $40 per hour
  • Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
