A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Medical Lab Technician I
Position type : Full-time Contract, potential contract to hire
Duration : 3 months
Location : Birmingham, AL
Position : Medical Lab Technician I
Shift : 2nd Shift – 13 : 00 – 21 : 30 M-F and every other weekend (with weekend work they get off the day before and the day after to make 40 hours)
As a Medical Lab Technician I, your responsibilities :
- 2 years experience, works well alone, will not be alone but needs to be independent.
- GENERALIST [COAG, HEM, UA, ETC EXPERIENCE]
- CORE LAB
- Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or clinical laboratory science or BS in Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science from an accredited college or university WITH atleast 1 year of training or experience in specialty in which testing will be performed. Such training must be equivalent to that received in a school of Medical Technology.
- 90 Semester hours from an accredited institution that include the following : 16 semester hours of Biology courses, 16 Semester ours of chemistry [must include atleast 6 hours of inorganic Chemistry], and 3 Semester hours of Math- along with having completed an accredited Clinical Laboratory training program or 1 year of documented Clinical Laboratory Training, or experience in the specialty that testing is to be performed.
- Associate’s degree in medical technology.
- Busy shift, knowledgeable on their own, haematology, urinalysis, coagulation, and micro
