As an Optical Design Engineer you will :
The Optical Design Engineer specializing in the optical design that will lead the development, optimization, and implementation of optical systems used for our cutting-edge gas laser systems technologies that are primarily used for isotope enrichment. This role requires a deep understanding of optical engineering principles in relation to laser physics
Responsibilities :
- Expertise in rRay traceing & POP modeling using , i.e. Zemax, FRED, etc
- Design of stable Mechanical & thermal stability of laser resonators, and how it impacts laser beam quality and beam caustics performance used in free space propagation
- Operation Mechanical & thermal stability of the laser resonator, and how it impacts a laser beam
- Knowledge of opto-mechanical systems used for specific optical components
- Experience / knowledge with with dispersive resonators (i.e. grating) for wavelength adjustment
- Experience / knowledge with Lenses & Telescopes (i.e. spherical, OAP, etc.) - reflective vs refractive

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS :
Pay Range : $150K - 180K
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
