Position : Collateral Management Consultant
Will be working on a hybrid schedule at the Chicago office; Once in-person training is completed, this role will be primarily remote, but does require at least 1-day per month in the office.
This resource will be providing overnight coverage of their operations based in NJ / NYC; Hours will be 7 p.m.-3 a.m., please note that since this team manages the collateral for their Asian and European clients, the work week for this overnight team starts 7 p.m. on a Sunday night and ends 3 a.m. on Friday morning (Chicago time).
Ideal candidate needs to have at least 1 year experience in Collateral Management.
- Inspect system generated collateral calls for accuracy prior to issuance
- Responsible for the issuance and processing of daily margin calls for bilateral agreements covered under a CSA, Cleared agreements, and affiliate margin
- Communicate directly with counterparties ensuring the proper collateral is being exchanged
- Post system entries in internal and industry platforms to recognize and settled the agreed margin calls
- Investigate and escalate disputes and discrepancies
- Settle month-end collateral margin interest with external counterparties and affiliates
- Perform nightly reconciliations between custodians, counterparties and Mizuho’s books and records
- Identify and escalate system issues and challenges to the overnight IT staff
- Working with internal partners across various functions; Credit, Credit, Legal, Finance and Trading
- Hours are 7pm-3am, and please note that since this team manages the collateral for our Asian and European clients, the work week for this overnight team starts 7pm on a Sunday night, and ends 3am on Friday morning (Chicago Time).
- This role is mainly work from home, but the team does 1 day a month in the Chicago office. At the start of the engagement, we would need some flexibility to report to the office at a higher frequency to accommodate in person training.
