We are seeking a Sr. Data Engineer who is excited about building a data-driven culture. Need to be motivated to make a positive impact on healthcare delivery in underserved areas. Need to be able to thrive fast-paced environments and is ready to create and support a data platform, ensuring its stability, scalability, and performance. This is a rapidly growing team!
The Data Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and improving modern data infrastructure (our current stack includes dbt and Snowflake). You will be the second Data specialist on a growing team and will have wide leeway to build performant, observable, and maintainable data pipelines, data stacks and the processes and frameworks around deployment, verification, and governance.
As the Data Engineer you will :
Design and implement end-to-end data architectures and analysis tools to meet the needs of our operations, product, growth, finance, and other partner teams.
Develop new data integrations and pipelines, ensuring solution reliability and scalability.
Build the foundational data layer to support data analytics and end-user BI and reporting.
Collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to troubleshoot and resolve any integration issues
Create and maintain documentation : data dictionaries, technical designs, coding standards, best practices and other documentation to support data architecture.
Translate product requirements and technical designs into well-engineered, low-defect, robust code.
Ensure data integrity and security by implementing appropriate measures and protocols.
Participate and engage in all Scrum Ceremonies.
Ensure best practices for secure, HIPAA-compliant access to data, including managing RBAC policies for the data warehouse and all connected tooling.
Lead and advocate best practices for code development, testing, and change management in order to ensure data availability, data integrity and data usability.
Support our Data Science and BI teammates, by enabling appropriate access to tools, and providing design feedback on data models and predictive solutions.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree with a major in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or other related majors, or equivalent experience.
At least 8 years of demonstrated experience building and maintaining data warehouses and / or data lakes using platforms like Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or similar
At least 5 years of demonstrated experience designing and implementing data workflows and pipelines using tools like DBT, Dagster, Airflow, or similar
Experience building systems that meet the needs of Data Scientists / Data Analysts who use SQL and code as well as non-technical end users who interact with data using tools like Power BI, Looker, Amplitude, or similar.
Preferred Experience
Working knowledge of data engineering best practices for privacy and security compliance with PII / PHI.
PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS :
Pay Range : Direct Hire – up to $170K. Can also work as a contractor but sponsorship is NOT available.
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
