Position Description :
The Financial Analyst will work closely with finance and business management to deliver reporting and analytical support. This role provides financial reporting and analysis of operational expenses while enhancing the clarity of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting. It also involves collaborating with the Finance department, senior leaders, to support budgeting, forecasting, and various projects and analyses, enabling the organization's rapid growth.
Essential Functions :
Analyze current and past financial and operational data and performance
Review shop floor data including department overhead / burden rates
Prepare reports and projections based on analysis and provide recommendations for changes
Participate in preparation and evaluation of company budget / profit plans
Identify trends in financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement
Coordinate with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts
Provide financial models and forecasting
Other Duties :
Assist with business on monthly / year-end close processes including :
- general-ledger account reconciliations
- creation of rolling forecasts, including cashflow data
- other financial variance and trend analysis
- provide support to Innovance AR and AP roles and processes
Effectively communicate / present results of analyses with recommended courses of action
Support and work directly with the management team in the analysis and monitoring key financial statistics and analytics
Develop sound financial models and / or business cases in partnership with business managers
Demonstrate ethical responsibility, personal accountability, and responsibility for the integrity and reliability of data, modeling, and reporting
Lead and / or provide expertise to ad hoc projects and analysis as required; ROI modeling, etc.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance and 2-4 years of related experience
Experience in a manufacturing environment or cost accounting preferred
Curious and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and a creative problem-solving approach
Ability to develop a strong understanding of internal data sources, including accessing, analyzing, and addressing specific questions with relevant data
Works well independently or team environments; demonstrated team player with positive attitude
Advanced computer proficiency, especially in Excel and financial management systems
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines and priorities
Innovance Training Requirements :
Applicable training will be completed by following the syllabi (Human Resources, Safety, IFS - Timeclock, IFS - Navigation, ISO) for each new hire and that will be verified by the Employee Orientation & Job Qualification form within the first 60 days of employment. Additional applicable training will be completed by following the individual's assigned department training matrix, Finance.
Follow training syllabus (Technical from above list). Effectiveness of training guidelines will be determined by employee knowledge and demonstration of learned concepts. Additional training after the first several weeks of on-the-job training will be determined by the Supervisor in preparation to operate on their own as needed. Any follow-up training will be evaluated and provided at the 60-day review or as deemed necessary for the position.
