Position Overview:
We are seeking a mission-aligned CPA to support the acquisition and operation of a tax/CPA firm. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring the business aligns with our vision of helping high-income earners navigate complex tax landscapes and build sustainable wealth. The CPA will be responsible for due diligence during the acquisition process, managing CPA-related activities post-acquisition, and upholding the firm’s reputation for delivering tailored, impactful solutions.
This is an opportunity to join a company dedicated to redefining financial success—not just through compliance and reporting but by helping clients leverage their income to create opportunities, build businesses, and leave a legacy of financial freedom.
Key Responsibilities:
Acquisition Phase:
- Conduct due diligence on prospective firms, focusing on financial health, client portfolio, tax compliance, contracts, liabilities, and overall operational stability.
- Identify businesses that are self-sustaining and NOT DEPENDENT on the current owner for client retention.
- Review and analyze seller-provided documents, including tax returns, P&L statements, and balance sheets.
- Provide detailed reports and recommendations, highlighting potential risks and negotiation points (e.g., client retention clauses, earn-outs).
- Engage in discussions with the seller or broker, as necessary, to ensure transparency and accuracy during the process.
Transition Phase:
- Assume responsibility for managing the CPA-related aspects of the business post-acquisition.
- Develop a comprehensive plan to ensure compliance and continuity during the handover period.
- Maintain direct interaction with key clients to ensure retention and satisfaction.
Post-Acquisition Role:
- Oversee all technical CPA duties, including tax filings, compliance, audits, and correspondence with tax authorities.
- Supervise accounting staff and manage operations related to CPA activities.
- Provide financial reports and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance.
- Assist in strategic planning and scaling the business, potentially aiding future acquisitions.
Vision-Driven Client Engagement:
- Help clients understand how tax strategies and financial planning can create generational wealth.
- Lead by example, demonstrating the company’s commitment to proactive solutions that redefine wealth creation for high-income professionals.
Qualifications:
- Active CPA license in good standing.
- Expertise in tax preparation, QuickBooks, and strategic tax planning.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of building trust with clients.
- Experience in due diligence and evaluating small firm acquisitions preferred.
- Leadership experience.
- Ability to align with the company’s mission of helping clients achieve financial independence and legacy-building wealth.
Employment Terms:
- Part-Time During Acquisition: Focus on due diligence and acquisition-related tasks.
- Full-Time Post-Acquisition: Transition to overseeing CPA operations and client engagement.
- Compensation: Competitive salary with potential performance-based bonuses.
- Location: Must be based in the DFW Area.
How This Role Supports Our Vision:
This CPA position isn’t just about compliance and reporting—it’s about transforming how our clients think about wealth and success. You will be a key player in helping high-income earners navigate tax strategies that save money, build businesses, and create generational impact.
