We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations. You will play a crucial part in maintaining our commitment to excellence by conducting inspections, performing tests, and documenting results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance practices and familiarity with relevant standards.
The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting products through all phases of the production process including raw materials, work in process, and final products.
2 years minimum experience required, 3 years preferred
Job Duties:
Visual and Dimensional inspections of incoming and outgoing products, and work in process.
Dimensional Inspection of component parts as well as complex assemblies.
Document and contain non conforming products.
Final inspection including Finish (powder coating, paint, plating etc).
Assist with or perform internal quality audits.
Create and maintain inspection reports including First Article and PPAP documents.
Works closely with machine operators, fabricators, and management.
Directly reports to Quality Director.
Job Requirements:
Experience using Manual inspection tools and Computerized inspection tools (height gauge, calipers, square, tape measure, CMM).
Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings including weld symbols, work instructions, and dimensional tolerances.
Math skills required to interpret measurements and specification requirements (fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry).
Computer skills required including Microsoft Word and Excel – ability to learn new programs.
20/20 corrected vision required.
Experience required in sheet metal fabrication quality control.
Experience as a fabricator helpful.
Strong attention to detail.
Work is performed in manufacturing plant, must be able to work in hot or cold environment, and follow all safety rules.
Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
