Maximo EAM Systems Analyst

Location: Hybrid in Bakersfield, San Jose or Torrance
Employment Type: Full Time, estimated duration 6 months to 18 months, possibly longer.

Position Summary:

Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) plays a critical role in optimizing installed assets, managing life cycles, and prioritizing investments. As a Maximo EAM Systems Analyst, you will support enterprise asset management initiatives by enhancing system functionality, training users, resolving support requests, and collaborating with key stakeholders across the organization.

Working with with IBM Maximo, PeopleSoft, PowerPlan, BIRT, and other enterprise systems, you will support both Capital and Maintenance projects. Your contributions will help streamline asset management operations, improve data integrity, and drive efficiency across multiple departments.

This role serves as a liaison between operations, engineering, IT, and other business units, ensuring that EAM systems are used effectively to meet performance, safety, and customer satisfaction goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize enterprise asset data in Maximo for water Distribution, Production, and Treatment assets, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Analyze business processes and user needs, identifying and implementing system improvements to enhance workflows and operational performance.
• Develop dynamic reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support asset performance tracking, maintenance planning, and regulatory compliance.
• Train and support end-users across departments, ensuring effective adoption of Maximo and EAM tools while improving overall system utilization.
• Collaborate with IT, Engineering, and Operations teams to enhance EAM system capabilities, integrations, and automation opportunities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring a seamless user experience while proactively identifying opportunities for process optimization.
• Define and implement standardized business processes, driving efficiency, consistency, and best practices across asset management operations.
• Maintain comprehensive system documentation, track issue resolution, and provide insights for continuous system enhancements.
• Administer role-based user access management, ensuring system security, compliance, and proper permission levels across departments.

Education:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Candidates with strong business analyst skills and EAM experience are also encouraged to apply.

Preferred Certifications:

• IBM Certified Deployment Professional – Maximo Asset Management (Highly Preferred, or willingness to obtain within 3 months)
• Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)
• IAM Certificate or Diploma in Asset Management

Experience & Knowledge:

• 3 years of experience working with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) platforms.
• 3 years of experience working with Maximo.
• Experience with SQL, Power BI, BIRT, or other reporting tools is strongly preferred.
• Understanding of asset management principles and business process analysis.
• Strong skills in data analysis, reporting, and documentation.

Technical & Business Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to develop, analyze, and present system reports and analytics.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills to work effectively across teams.

Work Environment & Additional Requirements:

• This role is primarily hybrid, with flexibility for occasional remote work. Office locations include Bakersfield, San Jose, and Torrance.
• Valid California Driver’s License (for occasional site visits, if required).
• Travel is estimated 0% to 10% of the time.

Compensation:

• Salary Range: $95,000 - $150,000

• 0-2 years: 2 weeks or 80 hours per year
