- Specifically, in this role, you will work alongside the Dallas Controller to support traditional cost accounting responsibilities while also providing in-depth financial analysis related to the impact of new tariffs on supply chain costs.

- Position Summary: The position will help track and allocate tariff-related expenses at the SKU level and ensure accurate cost roll-ups to finished goods. In addition, the role will partner with the sales and pricing teams to incorporate these costs into dynamic pricing models that reflect changes in tariffs and support strategic decision-making.
- Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Perform standard cost accounting functions including BOM reviews, variance analysis (purchase price, usage, labor, overhead), inventory valuation, and month-end close activities.
- Partner with the supply chain and procurement teams to track and analyze the financial impact of tariffs on raw materials, components, and inbound logistics.
- Assign and maintain accurate landed cost by SKU, ensuring that tariffs and other related duties are correctly allocated and reflected in the cost of goods sold (COGS).
- Support the cost roll-up process from raw materials to finished goods, considering fluctuating inputs due to tariff changes or vendor shifts.
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate the impact of tariff changes on margins and profitability.
- Work closely with the sales and commercial teams to build and update pricing models that integrate tariff costs into customer pricing structures.
- Analyze product and customer profitability and make recommendations to optimize pricing strategies.
- Assist with annual budget preparation, standard cost updates, and forecasting related to supply chain costs and external economic factors.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, procurement, logistics, and sales to ensure accurate and actionable cost data.

- Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- BS in Accounting or Finance.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred.
- 4 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory accounting, and variance analysis.
- ERP Experience & Knowledge Depth – Knowledge of ERP configuration, manufacturing processes and systems, technical/professional competence and quality.
- Technology & Systems Proficiency – Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, especially in Excel, Accounting Software, Inventory Software, or other business related software.
- Demonstrated experience in building and using pricing or cost models to support strategic decisions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills and business acumen to work across departments.
