As we grow our team, we currently are seeking and experience new member(s) for the role of Outside Sales Representative - NY Metro. This is an opportunity to play a direct role in the growth and success of our organization. Our ideal candidate is energetic and dynamic and will focus on initiating and maintaining key accounts in New York City and surrounding areas. Upon joining our sales team, the candidate will serve as an ambassador within the interior design and the A&D community. This individual must command strong communicative skills with a focus on sales and brand awareness. Our sales team members interact regularly with the design community through outreach, networking, attending industry events and staying current with designer’s social media and trade publications. An ability to build a strong client relationship is the key to success in this position while working closely with our Corporate team to ensure a high level of customer service.
Primary responsibilities include but not limited to:
Maintain an organized and up to date road kit and office area.
Scout new business opportunities as well as maintaining current book of business with a consistent call schedule and reporting activities via CRM program.
Schedule appointments regularly with clients offering presentations of our product line and maintaining a presence and sampling in libraries within design firm offices.
Consistent follow upon previous sales calls, leads and open quotes and clear communication with clients to manage expectations.
Achieve and exceed sales goals on a consistent basis.
Attend key client/industry events, company sales meetings, and/or trade shows as required.
Maintain weekly summary reports to Executive team.
Success in this position is achieved when individual(s) possess the following skill set:
Bachelor's degree in management and/or the equivalent relevant work experience
A wallcoverings, luxury goods, home furnishings and/or interior design background
3-5 year established sales experience working with the A D community in the local NY market working with top interior designers and firms with a current book or knowledge of accounts to combine with an assigned account base.
Develop a deep understanding of our products and our brand and be a consistent resource for our clients.
Self-motivated, detail oriented and able to cultivate long-term relationships with prospective new leads as well as growing existing client base to obtain new business.
Highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
