Position Overview: The position is commission based. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth and expanding our customer base in the small business lending sector. This role requires a highly motivated, results-oriented individual who excels at building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and closing deals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the small business lending space, a proven track record in business development, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect business owners in the local area to identify potential clients in need of working capital.
- Call warm leads that have expressed interest in business financing to discuss options and secure financing solutions.
- Go business-to-business to proactively approach potential clients and evaluate their need for funding solutions.
- Attend networking events to promote our brand, build relationships, and raise awareness in the local business community.
- Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to target small businesses in need of financing solutions.
- Build strong relationships with potential clients, referral partners, and other stakeholders to drive growth.
- Conduct in-depth needs assessments for prospective clients, offering tailored lending solutions to meet their needs.
- Work closely with the underwriting and operations teams to ensure smooth processing of loan applications.
- Track and report on sales activities, pipeline progress, and performance metrics.
- Stay up to date with market trends, competitive offerings, and regulatory changes in the small business lending space.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (2 years) in business development, sales, or relationship management, preferably within the financial services or small business lending industry.
- Strong knowledge of small business financing products, including term loans, lines of credit, SBA loans, and alternative lending solutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial mindset.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
