We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team. This position will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and preparing financial reports. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Investigate and resolve any accounting discrepancies (supplier ledger, customer ledger, general ledger, etc.)
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Maintain an organized and accurate record of all financial activities
- Assist with month-end closing such as, balance sheets, income statements, and other reports as needed
- Assist with payroll preparation by providing relevant data (e.g., leaves, working hours, etc.)
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial data
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements
Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Viewpoint Spectrum) and Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel proficiency
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with industry-specific software or ERP systems.
- Knowledge of payroll and tax regulations.
- Experience in financial reporting and forecasting.

Wage:
$29-$31/hour - DOE
