Responsibilities
- Transporting goods to various locations in a timely manner
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Maintaining accurate delivery logs and ensuring paperwork is completed
- Planning routes efficiently to optimize fuel consumption and delivery times
- Communicating with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and issues
- Ensuring adherence to traffic laws and company safety policies during travel
- Loading and unloading cargo and ensuring it is secured properly during transport
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Clean driving record with no major accidents or violations
- Proven experience as a truck driver or in a similar role
- Knowledge of trucking regulations and logistics
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy loads
- Good communication and customer service skills
