We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Technical Project Manager (Packaging) to join our packaging development team. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for leading teams to deliver packaging projects that span across one or more business units, managing resources, schedules, financials, and adhering to quality control guidelines throughout the full systems development life cycle. This also includes management of issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. The candidate should be versed in project management methodologies, packaging development, and have a strong technical background.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Lead the planning and implementation of packaging development projects, ensuring projects are completed according to outlined objectives.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress and ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Ensure technical feasibility and resource availability.
  • Oversee quality assurance and ensure objectives are met.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the project team.
  • Conduct post-project evaluation and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.


About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Prefer 5 years minimum working experience as a Technical Project Manager in packaging development.
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in packaging materials, processes, and technologies.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA).
  • PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with sustainable packaging practices and regulations
