A day in the life as a Senior Plan Consultant
The Senior Plan Consultant plays a vital role in client engagements at Innovative. This position requires technical skills, planning, organization, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently and supervise support staff.
Responsibilities Include
- Supporting Business Development Consultants
- Ensuring technical maintenance and management of client accounts
- Delivering timely and accurate services
- Upholding Innovative's mission to "Put People First"
Business Development/Sales Support:
- Support revenue growth by providing expertise and work products for new business during sales phases.
- Communicate with Sales Producers for potential account intelligence.
- Manage and create pre-sale quoting presentations.
- Attend Sales Presentations to demonstrate capabilities.
- Ensure quotes align with client demographics and requested services.
- Conduct Retirement Plan Open Enrollment and New Hire presentations.
- Lead new Client Implementation Process.
- Meet regularly with Practice lead to drive business initiatives.
- Create/manage communications with clients, carriers, professional networks, and vendors.
- Coordinate with Marketing to create and distribute content.
- Manage Annual Review Calendar, Quarterly Calendar, and Compliance Calendar, including updates for regulatory changes.
- Oversee Executive Benefit programs and deliverables.
- Educate and mentor staff on objectives, philosophy, and strategy.
- Delegate work according to divisional needs.
- Provide feedback on job performance, development, goals, project status, and related issues.
- Attend industry events to upgrade knowledge.
- Bachelor's degree in finance or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- 3 years' experience performing the essential duties described above.
- Series 7, General Securities Representative and Series 66, or a Series 65 preferred
- Professional Industry certifications preferred.
- Experience supervising consulting team operations; managing workflows, delegating and following up with work assignments.
