Underground Plow Operator

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Underground Plow Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient installation of underground direct buried fiber using a Vermeer RTX1250 or equivalent. This work will require small travel to Albia/Moravia but will be home at night the same day.

Duties

• Operate plowing equipment/machines effectively to install fiber optic.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Locating previously installed underground utilities.
• Install vaults and peds.
• Maintain clear communication with supervisors regarding equipment status and any issues encountered.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations while operating machinery and performing tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in operating Underground Plow/Trencher.
• Familiarity with hand tools and maintenance practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. CDL Class A is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment and individually.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
