The Concrete Finisher plays a critical role in ensuring the successful and timely completion of construction projects. This position involves manual labor, concrete finishing, and site preparation while maintaining a high level of quality and safety standards. Candidates must have strong physical endurance, attention to detail, and knowledge of concrete installation techniques.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for concrete work.
- Rake and shovel concrete regularly.
- Perform concrete finishing and screeding for various structures and flatwork.
- Spread, level, and smooth concrete using hand and power tools (trowels, screeds, floats).
- Operate power vibrators to consolidate concrete.
- Finish corners and smooth high spots manually.
- Perform concrete patching and repairs.
- Load, unload, haul, and hoist materials, machinery, and tools.
- Set up and spray forms with form oil before concrete placement.
- Set footing, wall, and slab forms, ensuring correct alignment and depth.
- Remove concrete forms after setting.
- Cut, bend, and install rebar and wire mesh efficiently.
- Direct cement truck drivers for proper concrete placement.
- Install anchor bolts, steel plates, and other fixtures in fresh concrete.
- Apply curing agents to finished concrete.
- Operate various hand and power tools (circular saws, jigsaws, grinders, jackhammers, etc.).
- Maintain a clean and safe job site, securing tools and equipment daily.
- Inspect and properly maintain company equipment.
- Assist the Foreman and Project Manager with daily project tasks.
- Train and mentor new employees.
- Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hard hats, boots, safety glasses, and high-visibility clothing.
- Provide own hand finish tools for daily use.
Additional Responsibilities (As Needed)
- Concrete demolition, including breaking and hauling materials.
- Operate jackhammers, skid steers, and bobcats.
- Repair damaged concrete by cutting, drilling, and positioning reinforcing rods.
Skills, Abilities, Qualifications, and Physical Requirements:
- Must pass a drug screening.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, walking, kneeling, and squatting.
- Must lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs.
- Experience in concrete installation and finishing is required.
- Basic construction skills, including measuring, cutting, and setting forms.
- Ability to operate trowels, screeds, and vibrators effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality.
- Ability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays if required.
- Willing to work overtime and in adverse weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Commitment to safety regulations and proper use of equipment.
- Must be able to work independently and with a team to ensure project success.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Willing to travel up to 60 miles to various job sites.
- Work must meet or exceed Innovative Concrete, LLC's quality standards.
