This role involves working on construction sites, assisting with the preparation, pouring, and finishing of concrete projects. The Concrete Laborer will be expected to collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high standards.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation of job sites, including setting up forms and ensuring proper alignment.
- Operate concrete pumping equipment and assist in pouring concrete into forms.
- Perform tasks related to tile laying, plastering, and masonry as needed.
- Engage in frame carpentry and metal stud framing for structural support.
- Renovate existing structures by removing old materials and preparing surfaces for new installations.
- Read blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Operate heavy equipment safely and effectively on job sites.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations.
Skills
- Proficiency in concrete pumping techniques and equipment operation.
- Experience with tile laying, plastering, masonry, and frame carpentry.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately for project execution.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
