Primary Responsibilities
- Complies with all PPE standards and is aware of all safety practices, follows safety rules and procedures, complies with all legal regulations.
- Maintains a current Class A Commercial Driver’s License as required.
- Prepares DOT required log of time on duty and driving.
- Organizes and secures loads.
- Assists forklift operators when loading.
- Checks orders for accuracy
- Delivers and unloads materials to customers’ satisfaction.
- Operates a forklift/Moffit – requires forklift certification
- Completes daily equipment pre-inspection.
- Records all merchandise that is returned by truck, assists in unloading material returned for credit.
- Follows guidelines established by the Department of Transportation.
- Follows all company established safety rules, policies and procedures.
- Operates all trucks in safe and efficient manner, maintains records regarding equipment use and time charged.
- Logs in deliveries
- Relays messages sent by customers while on job.
- Assists supervisor, other employees and other work areas, as assigned.
- Assists in maintaining good housekeeping in yard and warehouse.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Tractor Trailer (semi) and experience and/or trucks with roll off trailers needed.
- Moffett experience a plus.
- Understanding of building concepts, codes, regulations, laws and best practices.
- Is a team player.
- Is detail oriented.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Must be able to prove eligibility to work in the United States.
- Current driver’s license and clean driving record
- 40 hours weekly.
- Good communication skills
(degree, licenses, certifications, etc.)
Required Experience
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
(work related, tools/equipment, software, etc.):
- Minimum experience required—2 years CDL experience including lumber dumping.
- Basic CDL experience with flat beds and/or tractor trailers required.
