ICMS is seeking a highly organized and experienced Custodial Project Manager to oversee and manage custodial operations across multiple shifts at a customer facility located in Dayton, Ohio. This role involves direct supervision of Shift Supervisors and a team of custodians and floor technicians, ensuring a clean, safe, and compliant environment. The Custodial Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all custodial tasks, monitor performance, perform quality control, and ensure adherence to organizational standards, schedules, and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly oversee and monitor performance of the Shift Supervisors and custodians.
- Assign and prioritize tasks to ensure effective utilization of personnel and resources.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching and professional development.
- Develop and maintain schedules for daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning tasks.
- Ensure all cleaning operations meet health, safety, and cleanliness standards.
- Monitor the inventory and usage of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Maintain adequate stock levels of all supplies and initiate replenishment to ensure availability to support every shift.
- Educate, implement and enforce adherence to OSHA regulations and ISSA cleaning standards, processes and procedures.
- Conduct routine and frequent inspections of facilities to ensure compliance and identify quality deviations, develop corrective action, and ensure swift resolution.
- Address and resolve operational issues, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Act as the primary liaison and point of contact for customers including CO, COR, program management and all tenants of supported facilities.
- Prepare and present reports on performance metrics, staffing, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate and coordinate with government staff, tenants and/or contractors to coordinate cleaning efforts during special projects or events.
- Respond to emergencies, such as spills or hazards, and ensure timely resolution.
- Adjust schedules and resources to accommodate changing needs or unexpected challenges.
- Establish and maintain a safety-first culture.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in management, facilities operations, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in custodial operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role
- Knowledge and experience with general project management principles and knowledge of applicable tools, techniques and tactics
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities
- Proficient in using scheduling and reporting tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingual in both English and Spanish
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
- Familiarity with ISSA cleaning standards and OSHA regulations
- Knowledge of custodial equipment, chemicals, and best practices for maintenance and safety
- Experience with Compu Clean and Clean Check for custodial management or other custodial management and quality control tools highly desired
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident with residency in the U.S. for at least three consecutive years
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation and clearance for access to military installations and restricted areas
- Satisfactory completion of drug screening.
