What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator position at Innovative Demolition Service, LLC?
Innovative Demolition Service, LLC is currently seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator who is proficient in the operation of a variety of heavy equipment and trucks used in construction to join our team. Innovative Demolition Services, LLC requires its operators to be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma/GED, Driver’s license (prefer CDL) with fewer than one violation in the past year. Operators should have the ability to read job instructions and plans, perform record keeping, perform daily reports, maintain computer database, maintain equipment supplies, recordkeeping of construction materials and document maintenance repairs and be proficient in verbal and nonverbal comprehension and communication skills.
Operators are also required to pass a DOT Physical by approved medical examiner in the FMCSA registry which includes
v Examine includes, physical, emotional and mental health
v All current prescribed medications must be disclosed during exam
v Pass Hearing and Vision Exam
v Pass DOT Drug Screening by approved medical examiner in the FMCSA registry
v Random drug screens without prior notice
In addition to the above requirements, an operator must be certified in OSHA 10 Training and must have on the job experience or complete an apprenticeship program of 3,000 hours.

Operator Job description:
* Operate power construction equipment including bobcats, crushers, skid steer, backhoe, bulldozer, track loader, motor grader, rock crusher and rollers and excavators of all sizes with various attachments, i.e. Auger, hydraulic thumb, hammer, bucket including tilt buckets, adapters, couplers, drive shaft torque and shear
* Operate equipment to demolish or remove debris
* Operate loaders to pull out stumps, rip asphalt or concrete, rough-grade properties, bury refuse, or perform general cleanup.
* Operate tractors or bulldozers to perform such tasks as clearing land, mixing sludge, trimming backfills, or building roadways or parking lots.
* Assist / perform laborer tasks as required
* Inspect and adjust equipment during operations
* Follow all safety procedures
* Alert to potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, equipment, workers, falling objects.
* Control equipment attachments such as blades, buckets, scrapers.
* Follow hand or audio signals of workers
* Sort and grade recycled material
* Complete computer documents such as daily logs, job reports.
* Put up and take down scaffolding, shoring, braces, other temporary structures.
* Respond immediately to emergency situations
* Use time accounting software
* Adjust hand wheels and depress pedals to control attachments, such as blades, buckets, scrapers, or swing booms.
* Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members.
* Drive and maneuver equipment equipped with blades in successive passes over working areas to remove topsoil, vegetation, or rocks or to distribute and level earth or terrain.
* Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, or other materials, using trucks, crawler tractors, power cranes, shovels, graders, or related equipment.
* Monitor operations to ensure that health and safety standards are met.
