What are the responsibilities and job description for the Docket Clerk (12-8pm shift) position at Innovative Driven?
Innovative Driven is currently seeking a Docket Clerk with at least two years of experience with law firm calendaring and docketing to join the forward-thinking and dynamic team at one of the nation's most respected employment law firms. The firm is well known for its strong representation of employees, executives, and partners in all areas of employment law.
The role is hybrid, with 3-4 days onsite and 1-2 days remote, per week. For the first several months, 4 days a week onsite will be required.
THE HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE 12-8PM EST.
DUTIES :
- Assist the Managing Clerk in maintaining the Firm’s master litigation calendar, including notification processes and individual attorney calendars
- Prepare additional calendar reports upon request and fully maintain case calendars
- Track deadlines and keep internal stakeholders informed
- Assist paralegals and staff with calendaring and e-filing procedures under the guidance of the Managing Clerk
- Review court documents for form and procedural compliance before filing / service
- E-file court documents in federal and state courts and assist with agency filings as needed
- Communicate with court personnel as needed
- Assist with registering attorneys for electronic filing
- Retrieve dockets and court documents
- Collaborate with software and e-filing vendors and IT department on system updates.
- Conduct docket research on Lexis, Westlaw, CourtAlert, Docket Alarm, and PACER
- Monitor publications and court websites for changes to state and federal court rules.
- Assist with Knowledge Management initiatives at the firm
