What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional/Mentor position at Innovative Harbor?
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / In-Home Caregiver, you will support our clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live their best lives as independently as possible. We are looking for a dependable and hard-working team to join us. You will provide this support and guidance in a group home. As you work side-by side with these individuals, your support is needed in many areas of daily living including shopping, meal preparation, transportation, budgeting, housekeeping/cleaning, personal hygiene assistance and supporting clients in community activities. You will use effective teaching and mentoring techniques to help participants to learn new skills and achieve goals in areas such as employment, money management, relationship building and finding recreational activities that they enjoy.
We are currently hiring for weekday swing, weekend swing, and weekend graveyard shifts.
We offer a competitive starting wage of $17/hr. *Applicants must provide at least 1-2 work references*
