The Patient Care Liaison is responsible for managing all incoming calls to the Patient Care phone line. Acting similarly to a nurse advice line, the liaison responds to inquiries from patients and physicians regarding exams and procedures. Additionally, the role involves contacting pharmacies, workers’ compensation adjusters, and completing forms or paperwork as needed. Previous experience in medical assisting or orthopedics is preferred. The ideal candidate will be articulate, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks while working independently and collaboratively to meet company goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answers the phone promptly and courteously, ideally within three rings.
- Provides responses to general inquiries about patient care, prescriptions, and treatments.
- Directs emergency calls to the appropriate physician following established procedures.
- Shares necessary information with callers while ensuring the privacy of physicians is protected, in line with protocols.
- Scans documents received via US mail into TouchChart and files them as needed.
- Records patient encounters in the notes section of TouchChart.
- Ensures patient confidentiality is maintained in accordance with HIPAA and the practice's compliance guidelines.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Consistently meets or exceeds productivity standards and goals.
Productivity Standards
- Number of calls taken per hour
- Amount of time on “Not Ready” status
- Accuracy and completeness of messages
- Accuracy of notes posted in Touch Chart
- Patient Satisfaction

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School degree required.
- CMA Certificate preferred.
- Training in Orthopedics preferred.
- CPR Certification preferred.
- Working knowledge of managed care basics.
- Patient, empathetic, and compassionate.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Must demonstrate consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail.
- Good judgement and decision-making skills.
- Ability to maintain composure under difficult situations.
Pay Range: $20-24 depending on experience
Salary : $20 - $24
